Why a distillery for a rehearsal dinner
A rehearsal dinner is the small, weird, more personal event that precedes the main wedding. Fewer guests, more toasts, the relatives who actually know each other. The venue should match. A working distillery with a copper still, an elegant tasting room, and a custom cocktail program is exactly the kind of room that gives a rehearsal dinner the warmth it deserves — different from the wedding venue itself, more intimate, more conversation-friendly.
Most rehearsal dinners we host are 30–60 seated guests. The space comfortably handles up to 90 seated. Couples typically book us when their wedding is at a different LA venue and they want the rehearsal night to be its own distinct experience.
The shape of the night
- Arrival drinks at the bar — with the cocktail menu we built for you. 30–45 minutes.
- Private distillery tour — sixty minutes, four-spirit flight. Add-on at $25 per guest. Most couples book it as the icebreaker between two families who haven't met.
- Seated dinner in the tasting room. Long communal tables, candle-lit, toasts encouraged.
- Late drinks back at the bar — informal, lower-pressure, the part where the parents finally relax.
Total runtime is usually four to five hours.
The custom cocktail menu
Tell us about the couple and we'll build a four-cocktail menu specific to them. Cocktails named after their first date, the city they met in, his grandmother's drink, her favorite bar in college. Guests notice immediately. The bartender pours the right drink in front of the right person at the right moment. Small things, but they add up across an evening.
