Birthdays for the milestone years
30th, 40th, 50th, 60th. The birthdays where you start asking what's actually worth doing. A distillery tour with a private tasting flight, a custom cocktail menu built around the birthday person, and a 1920s warehouse with a 1,000-gallon copper still as backdrop is the kind of evening guests will reference at the next milestone five years later.
Most birthday parties we host are 30–70 seated. We can scale up to 200 standing for a full buyout if you're inviting everyone you've ever known.
Format options
- Private tour + dinner. 10–20 guests. Sixty-minute distillery tour, four-spirit tasting flight, then a seated dinner in the tasting room. Catered or BYO. Total ~3 hours.
- Cocktail party with bar takeover. 30–60 guests. Custom cocktail menu built around the birthday person (favorite drinks, story-based names), hosted bar from $45/guest for two hours.
- Full evening buyout. 60–200 guests, the whole space, your music, your timeline. The 50th-birthday-blowout format.
The cocktail menu
For milestone birthdays, the cocktail menu is the move. Tell us a few things about the birthday person:
- Their go-to drink — we'll build it into the menu in their preferred form
- Where they grew up — a cocktail tied to that region
- A drink they had on a specific memorable trip
- The drink their parents poured at family dinners
The cocktails on the menu get printed cards with the back-stories. Guests notice; the birthday person tears up; everyone has something to talk about beyond the obvious.
A recent 50th
Last fall: 70 guests, seated dinner, a private tour to start the night. The cocktail menu was built around the birthday person's history with bourbon — four drinks named after places he'd lived (a Manhattan for New York, a Sazerac for New Orleans, an Old Fashioned for Kentucky, a Negroni for Italy). His college roommate gave a toast that referenced all four locations. The birthday person told us afterward it was the best party he'd ever had.
