Our high-ceilinged tasting room and production floor are two of the most unique event spaces in Los Angeles. Wood-trussed ceilings, factory-glass windows, polished concrete, and a 1,000-gallon copper still at the center of the room.
The room flexes for everything from a twelve-person dinner to a two-hundred-person reception. The event types we host most often, each with its own dedicated planning page:
Every private event at Hollywood Distillery includes:
Optional add-ons most groups include:
The space accommodates several formats. Capacities below are practical maximums; the right number is often somewhat lower depending on the bar program, catering footprint, and entertainment.
| Format | Capacity | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Cocktail reception (standing) | Up to 200 | Wedding receptions, brand launches, listening parties |
| Seated dinner | Up to 60 | Rehearsal dinners, milestone birthdays, board dinners |
| Cocktail class with bar tools | Up to 40 | Bachelorette parties, corporate offsites, team-builds |
| Intimate private dinner | Up to 24 | Anniversary dinners, leadership offsites, press dinners |
| Full venue buyout | Up to 200 | Weddings (ceremony + reception), full-day brand events |
For groups under twelve, booking all twelve seats on a public tour is usually a better fit — same experience, lower price point.
The building was a working mortuary in the 1920s before it became a distillery. The bones — high wood-trussed ceilings, factory-glass windows on the north wall, polished concrete floors — were already cinematic. We added a 1,000-gallon copper Vendome pot still imported from Louisville and an elegantly refurbished tasting room with a long bar and communal tables.
The result is a venue with texture that does not exist elsewhere in Hollywood. Many planners describe the space as “cinematic but not curated” — it photographs beautifully without looking like a set. The working production floor is the focal point of the room, not a decorative element. The still hisses, the fermenters murmur, the bottling line runs on its own quiet schedule. Your event happens around it.
We are directly across from Hollywood Forever Cemetery, an unmistakable landmark that doubles as a coda to the building’s own history. The walk between the two has shown up in more than one wedding album.
After you submit the form above, here is what happens:
If you have a hard deadline (a published wedding date, a launch tied to a press release), tell us in the form and we will prioritize your response.
Address. Hollywood Distillery, 5975 Santa Monica Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90038. Across from Hollywood Forever Cemetery.
Available days. We do private bookings any day of the week.
Parking. Small paid lot directly across the street, plus metered street parking on Santa Monica Blvd. For weddings and large events we typically recommend valet coordinated through one of our preferred vendors.
Transit. Metro B (Red) Line, Hollywood/Western or Hollywood/Vine — both about a fifteen-minute walk.
Catering. We work with three preferred caterers across a range of cuisines and price points. You are also welcome to bring an outside caterer with prior approval. There is no kitchen on-site — caterers operate from a staging area off the production floor.
Alcohol licensing. All alcohol is served by our licensed bar staff under our license. Bring-your-own packages are available with a corkage fee. Custom take-home bottle add-ons are sold through our retail license, separate from bar service.
The earlier the better — but we try to accommodate any available date.
Yes. We work with a short list of preferred caterers, but you are welcome to bring your own with prior approval.
Yes. The entrance, tasting room, production facility, restrooms, and bar area are all ADA-accessible.
Most event planners book a public tour before submitting an inquiry — the best way to scout the space.
