Events we host

The room flexes for everything from a twelve-person dinner to a two-hundred-person reception. The event types we host most often, each with its own dedicated planning page:

  • Weddings — Ceremony and reception buyouts up to 200 guests, with the still as a ceremonial backdrop.
  • Rehearsal dinners — Up to 60 seated guests with an optional pre-dinner private distillery tour.
  • Bachelorette parties — Groups of 10–60 with custom cocktail menus and branded bottles.
  • Brand launches — Full venue buyouts for product unveils, press dinners, and influencer activations.
  • Milestone birthdays — 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, with a custom cocktail named for the guest of honor.
  • Photo and film shoots — Editorial, commercial, and indie shoots.
  • Corporate events — Holiday parties, wrap parties, and agency offsites.
  • Album listening parties — Music-industry release events with custom cocktails tied to track names.
What’s included

Every private event at Hollywood Distillery includes:

  • Exclusive use of the production floor and tasting room for the duration of your event
  • A guided production tour led by one of our distillers — the people who actually make the spirits
  • A tasting flight of all four production spirits: Oasis Vodka, Nopalera Gin, Zanja-Madre Bourbon, and Zanja-Madre Rye
  • A customizable bar program with two to three cocktails on draft from our taps
  • Event staff: bartenders, a host, security as needed
  • Standard setup and breakdown

Optional add-ons most groups include:

  • Custom cocktail menu named after the occasion or guest of honor, poured from our taps
  • Branded bottles with custom labels for each guest to take home — four to six week lead time
  • Hands-on cocktail-making class with one bar tool per pair, three cocktails built and tasted
  • Catering through one of our preferred catering partners — from passed bites to plated dinners
  • Photographer or videographer from our preferred-vendor list, both familiar with the space
Capacity and layouts

The space accommodates several formats. Capacities below are practical maximums; the right number is often somewhat lower depending on the bar program, catering footprint, and entertainment.

Format Capacity Best for
Cocktail reception (standing) Up to 200 Wedding receptions, brand launches, listening parties
Seated dinner Up to 60 Rehearsal dinners, milestone birthdays, board dinners
Cocktail class with bar tools Up to 40 Bachelorette parties, corporate offsites, team-builds
Intimate private dinner Up to 24 Anniversary dinners, leadership offsites, press dinners
Full venue buyout Up to 200 Weddings (ceremony + reception), full-day brand events

For groups under twelve, booking all twelve seats on a public tour is usually a better fit — same experience, lower price point.

The vibe

The building was a working mortuary in the 1920s before it became a distillery. The bones — high wood-trussed ceilings, factory-glass windows on the north wall, polished concrete floors — were already cinematic. We added a 1,000-gallon copper Vendome pot still imported from Louisville and an elegantly refurbished tasting room with a long bar and communal tables.

The result is a venue with texture that does not exist elsewhere in Hollywood. Many planners describe the space as “cinematic but not curated” — it photographs beautifully without looking like a set. The working production floor is the focal point of the room, not a decorative element. The still hisses, the fermenters murmur, the bottling line runs on its own quiet schedule. Your event happens around it.

We are directly across from Hollywood Forever Cemetery, an unmistakable landmark that doubles as a coda to the building’s own history. The walk between the two has shown up in more than one wedding album.

The inquiry process

After you submit the form above, here is what happens:

  1. Our events team responds within one business day with availability and a few follow-up questions about format and headcount.
  2. You receive a custom proposal with pricing, a sample bar menu, and recommended add-ons — typically within three business days.
  3. We schedule a thirty-minute walk-through, ideally on a non-event day so you can see the room empty and imagine your layout.
  4. You return with feedback or a green light. We adjust the proposal, finalize the contract, and lock the date with a deposit.
  5. We coordinate vendors, finalize the bar menu, and align on a day-of timeline two to four weeks before the event.

If you have a hard deadline (a published wedding date, a launch tied to a press release), tell us in the form and we will prioritize your response.

Plan your event
