Hollywood Distillery is a 5,000-square-foot 1920s warehouse on Santa Monica Boulevard with a working copper still, an elegantly refurbished tasting room, and 30-foot wood-trussed ceilings. We host intimate weddings, rehearsal dinners, and full ceremony-and-reception buyouts up to 200 guests — the kind of wedding venue where the room does most of the design work for you.
Hollywood as a wedding-venue neighborhood is dense in good options and dense in bad ones. The good ones are the historic spaces: the Roosevelt's Blossom Ballroom, Yamashiro on the hill, the Vibiana downtown, and a small handful of warehouse-style venues that have figured out how to be warm without losing their bones. We're newer to the list — Hollywood Distillery opened in 2025 — but the space is unusual enough to be worth a site visit.
Why couples book us
- The still is the photograph. A 1,000-gallon copper Vendome pot still rises twenty feet into the warehouse. Couples ask to be photographed with it almost without exception, and the resulting images are unlike anything coming out of a hotel ballroom.
- The room does the styling. Wood-trussed ceilings, factory-glass windows, polished concrete floors, Edison-bulb cafe lighting strung the length of the space. You don't have to drape it, light it, or hide anything.
- The bar program is the bar program. We make the spirits, so we pour them. Cocktails on the menu can be designed around your story — where you met, what you drink at home, your grandmother's old fashioned.
- It's all on one level. ADA-accessible entrance, tasting room, bar, and restrooms. No stairs, no elevators, no logistical surprises.

What a wedding here actually looks like
The most common shape: ceremony in the still room, cocktail hour at the bar, dinner and dancing in the tasting room, late drinks back at the bar. Photo time is the easy part — the still, the barrelhouse, the factory windows at golden hour, and the cemetery across the street if you want something genuinely strange and beautiful.
Couples who book us are typically looking for a specific feeling: warm, deco-glam, slightly cinematic, never stuffy. If your reference deck is the Hotel Bel-Air, we're probably not the right fit. If it's the Roosevelt circa 1929 with better lighting, you're in the right place.
Bar and catering
Beverage service is exclusively ours. Hosted bar from $45 per guest for two hours; premium open bar from $65 per guest for three; custom cocktail menus designed with our bar team. Catering is open — we work with a short list of preferred caterers who know the space, and we're happy to coordinate. You can also bring your own kitchen-licensed caterer with proof of insurance.
